Banks
One teller line carrying deposits and withdrawals, an officer who only does new accounts, and a customer who joined the wrong queue twenty minutes ago.
The problem
A branch has counters that do different work and a hall that does not know it. The commonest failure is not a long wait — it is a customer standing in the officers' line for a five-minute deposit, and finding out when they reach the front.
What QueueFlow does about it
- The customer picks what they came for and the line follows. There is no queue to choose and therefore no wrong one to choose.
- A teller can be restricted to the services they are on this month. They still see the whole hall, and the next-customer button steps over the ones that are not theirs.
- Premier or priority work can be a service offered at some branches and not others, which is what keeps it off the check-in screen where it is not available.
Every counter serves what it is there to serve, and nobody spends twenty minutes in the wrong part of the hall.
